Treehouse Club Camp

Ages: 5 (have completed Kindergarten) – 6
Limited to 15 children per session
Dates: June 2 - 6
Times: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $85/Members; $115/Non-members
Non-Member Registration Begins: Monday, March 19

 

CNC Treehouse Club campers will explore nature through exciting art projects and nature activities. Each day will start out in CNC’s George S. Bryan Discovery Forest Treehouse, followed by activities, crafts, and games that go along with a daily nature theme!

 

Wolf Pack Camp

Ages: 7 – 8
Limited to 15 children per session
Dates: Choose ONE session.
June 16 – 20; June 23 - 27; July 21 – 25
Times: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $135/Members; $165/Non-members

 

Wolf Pack campers will help prepare food for the nature center’s animal ambassadors and then watch them eat it, go on a canoe trip, visit the Bamboo forest, and wallow in a mud pit. They will spend a day experiencing what it’s like to be a Native American child of long ago. Campers will enjoy five, fun-filled days of nature games, activities and crafts.

 

Junior Naturalist Camp

Ages: 9 – 10
Limited to 12 children per session
Dates: Choose ONE session.
June 9 – 13
Times: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. M – Thur.
Campout - Thurs. night, pick-up - noon Fri.
Cost: $150/Members; $180/Non-members


 

Junior Naturalist campers will experience first hand what it’s like to be a wild animal in an exciting predator / prey simulation game. They will also go canoeing and hike down Lookout Mt. Campers will learn the tools of the trade practiced by great naturalists throughout history. Campers will participate in a full range of activities designed to bring natural history into their lives through science, art, nature journaling, live animal demonstrations, and of course, play! We will also camp out Thursday night at the nature center. There will be a campfire, fishing, a night hike, and storytelling.

 

Eco Explorer Camp Camp

Ages: 9 – 10
Limited to 12 children per session
Dates: Choose ONE session.
July 7 - 11
Times: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. M – F
Cost: $135/Members; $165/Non-members

This is the same as Junior Naturalist camp but without the overnight.  This is designed for campers who want the same quality outdoor experience but are not ready to spend the night away from home.

 

Adventure Camp

Ages: 11 – 13
Limited to 12 children per session
Dates: June 23 – 27
Times: Mon. – Wed. 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Thurs. 5 p.m – Fri. Noon (Free optional bike ride 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thurs.)
Cost: $150/Members; $180/Non-members

 

Canoe beautiful Lookout Creek, scramble up rocks at Lula Lake Land Trust, go on a wild cave tour at Raccoon Mt. Caverns, and discover the world of nocturnal animals! These are just a few of the activities that we have planned for Adventure Camp. We will also camp out Thursday night at the nature center. There will be a campfire, fishing, a night hike, storytelling and a nocturnal predator / prey game.

Counselors in Training

Ages: 14+
Cost: $25/Members; $40/Non-members
Add $35 for Adventure Camp

CNC’s Counselors in Training program provides leadership opportunities for students to gain experience as camp instructors. Call the summer camp reservation number listed below to schedule a pre-camp CIT training session. Call early because space is very limited.

How do people have fun in water? Campers will learn by doing when the Aquarium and Chattanooga Nature Center join together to create an unbeatable summer experience. Spend two days exploring the Aquarium’s fascinating new exhibits. Then get ready for adventure as you hike in the beautiful Lookout Valley, canoe on North Chickamauga Creek, learn about scuba diving and get down and dirty on Mud Day. Campers are dropped off and picked up at the Nature Center.
