CNC’s 2008 Summer CampsTreehouse Club Camp
CNC Treehouse Club campers will explore nature through exciting art projects and nature activities. Each day will start out in CNC’s George S. Bryan Discovery Forest Treehouse, followed by activities, crafts, and games that go along with a daily nature theme!
Wolf Pack Camp
Wolf Pack campers will help prepare food for the nature center’s animal ambassadors and then watch them eat it, go on a canoe trip, visit the Bamboo forest, and wallow in a mud pit. They will spend a day experiencing what it’s like to be a Native American child of long ago. Campers will enjoy five, fun-filled days of nature games, activities and crafts.
Junior Naturalist Camp
Junior Naturalist campers will experience first hand what it’s like to be a wild animal in an exciting predator / prey simulation game. They will also go canoeing and hike down Lookout Mt. Campers will learn the tools of the trade practiced by great naturalists throughout history. Campers will participate in a full range of activities designed to bring natural history into their lives through science, art, nature journaling, live animal demonstrations, and of course, play! We will also camp out Thursday night at the nature center. There will be a campfire, fishing, a night hike, and storytelling.
